The Rock Hards return after a six-year hiatus from the league. Originally joining IFL in Season 3 with a 1-6 record, the team turned things around in Season 4 with a 4-3 record and an appearance in the 2014 Finals where Kruger's squad ran into juggernaut Top Flight and settled for runner-up status.
Kruger (no team in 2019) returns to captain The Rock Hards and brings back two of his core members, Rachael Blackthorne (1-3, -1.75 PDPB) and Amaris (0-3, -5.00 PDPB), who spent last season on the 0-4 Warrior Force. They're joined by Doran Ilnaren (no prior IFL experience), Maggie Harker (no prior IFL experience) and Haru Jeong (no prior IFL experience).
Kruger must inspire his team to dig deep if they're to return to championship form. Doran and Haru will need to win bouts early and often and Amaris will have to bounce back from a rough 2019 campaign. Rachael has the most dueling experience of the bunch, both in and out of the IFL ring. If this team's going to be anything more than an also-ran, she'll probably have to contribute weekly bout wins, something her lifetime IFL record suggests isn't likely. Still, Kruger's proven his matchup savviness in the past and this team's scrappy enough to make a run for the playoffs if the cards fall just right.
